Ya know I've been thinking...
I know! Me actually thinking is so dangerous...
Why don't I update like I use to anymore. A lot of my friends still do it...why don't I?
Mother asked me, "Did you tell anyone that you got a new apartment and it's really close to Times Square (like 3 blocks)? Nope. "Well did you tell them that your accompanist (who is only 25) wrote a musical and it's off-Broadway right now with a hit review from the New York Times?" No. "Why not?"
I don't know.
Then I got to thinking. Maybe I've reached a point in my life were I don't need people to support my lifestyle. Maybe this whole journal thing (to me) was just a support system that has all but vanished. Like I needed you to know what was happening so you could either A. Counsel me or B. Justify to me that my life is great. Maybe that's all wrong. Maybe I'm thinking too much.
Maybe this journal reminds me of highschool life that is all but extinct...
I probably wouldn't recognize half of my high school friends today. Everyone has changed...and I DONT mean physically necessarily. Unfortunately the things we didn't particularly like about highschool does stay the same. Like drama for instance. "he said that she said that marthy is taking up according lessons and she does it while she is high." Ok not the best example but sometimes its even that ridiculous.How does it find me all the way up in New York. I left Cypress to leave immature behavior. Yet it still finds me. Now trust me I don't sit around thinking about high school but I have the past few days.
It is nice to know that some things do never change. Rachel Dockray (since I last saw her) is still the same goofy neighbor of mine who is continually worrying about grades and staying absolutely supportive to the Anime world. Now Rachel if you no longer do this then I take it back. I love you Rachel, listen to DDR for me! Karl still plays the piano with excellance and Sarah still has spats of sarcasm, a 4.0 GPA and in my opinion, still my favorite soprano gone alto. I could go on for hours on end with people I know from this journal that still keep some of their same characteristics from highschool.
Then I started thinking again...how have I changed? I'm still stubborn, optimistic, supportive, and still have no male in my life. The last one was kind of depressing.
Maybe I'm stronger. Maybe I'm more independent. Maybe I have no clue...Maybe that's why I wrote this journal entry...

Only four days until I go back to New York! I miss it.
My Christmas finally turned out to be great. Memaw and Dedad were allowed to come over and it was bliss. My whole family together on Christmas. Who could ask for anything more.
I'm glad everyone had a fantastic Christmas!

Ya know I have to say I'm not really surprised but this flat out sucks
I'm not home for a full day and somehow I've managed to fight with mom. Mom then gets in a fight with grandparents and now my grandparents are not invited over for Christmas anymore as of right now.
I hate crying but it's all I've been doing since I got off the plane. I want to go back to New York. And the thing is this whole thing happened because mom and I didn't have a successful shopping day. That is without a doubt the stupidest reason to ruin Christmas for. The sad thing is my mom does not care.

Ah!!!! Snow, snow everywhere!!!
Man I love New York during Christmas. It's so magical! He he. I'm sad to leave it though. I really want a White Christmas but must go home for two weeks on Saturday...o well.
There are so many good movies out or will be out it's not even funny. I saw Narnia. ROCKED MY WORLD!!! It's like Lord of the Rings Jr. he he It made me feel all warm inside. Everyone here knows I'm not a very religious person but that movie just touches your inner Christian like no other and they don't even mean to. The movie is not about Christianity but it sure is apart of it. Here are some fun facts about Narnia and it's writer C.S. Lewis
~Narnia and the Lord of the Rings both contain a Christian backdrop within its story (Narnia more so, Aslan represents Christ)
~Both C.S. Lewis and J.R. Tolkien were friends and fellow class mates.
~The company that did the special effects for LOTR also did the effects for Narnia
~New Zealand was home to shooting ground for LOTR as well as Narnia
~ Unlike LOTR, the Narnia chronicles will not go in order and will not be shot all at once. (There are 7 of them)

So for Thanksgiving I'm going to Vermount to see my aunt and my uncle. It's going to be the first Thanksgiving without my immediate family. Weird!!! O well!
Well I got an advanced screening(like RENT) to the Producers. You guys have to know the Producers, it's only the show that won the most Tony's EVER! I have to say. I LOVE IT!! It's one of those shows that I could never be in but absolutely love. It's really refreshing. Mel Brooks is a freaking genius. But I know it won't go over well with most kids my because of RENT being out but I love it. Mel Brooks takes you back to the golden age of Broadway movie musicals. I guess that is why I love it so because I was raised on those 40's and 50's movie musicals and that is actually how it is. God Bless Him.
Nothing agains RENT because RENT was an excellent movie but the Producers is dear to my heart for a lot of reasons. It was my first Broadway CD in my collection and it reminds me of dad. I wish he could have seen it.
I hope everyone has a good time at RENT you all will like it.

Ladies and Gentlemen may have your attention please! the following entree is all about my free visit to the advanced screening of RENT the movie musical
Can we say AMAZING! I liked it a whole lot. I would give it a B+. Very creative and well done.
The best part was that ANTONY RAPP was there with us and I got an autograph and picture with him. He talked to us and told us to spread the word and go see the movie. He also told me when the movie primere would be and were it is. A week from today and I think I might just go.
Guys serioiusly go see it. I won't say too much only because I don't want to spoil anything for you guys but its great.

Howdy from the city that never sleeps. Hope everything is going well for everyone.
Well with two weeks til Thanksgiving things are on a role. I can't come home for Thanksgiving so I guess I have to go to the Parade. School is busy but thrilling. I'm tired but happy and it's somehow 70 degrees here today. uh?
Well I saw the new Sweeney Todd on Broadway with Patti Lupone. Interesting...not my favorite but interesting none the less.
I get to see Rent next week(Rent comes out early in NYC) and I'm super excited. I think I'm going to go to the premiere if I can find out when it is so I can meet the cast. I hope to go see Idina in the her new LaChuisa musical "See What I Wanna See". I also have tickets for Harry Potter in the IMaX. Must try to see that premiere too!
Wow I'm exhausted, must sleep.

So they are definetly putting up Christmas decorations already in New York. Talk about early, its not even Halloween??...I swear it gets earlier and earlier every freakin year. Don't get me wrong though I LOVE Christmas and I'm especially looking forward to it in New York but come on people wait a while.
I'm not coming home for Thanksgiving. I only have two days off and it would cost 600 dollars to fly me out and that is just one way. So needless to say I will come back around Christmas break. Probably for the last time for a good long while.
Wicked is in Houston right now, by the way. People go see it!! I've seen it three times already...WICKED!!!

It's official, this break so far SUCKS MAJOR!!!!
See usually in these situations I would go to Martino's room and play games and watch movies BUT he is not here anymore...sniff sniff. This is what happens when you become dependant on a man to entertain you when you're bored, he takes the semester off! Curse you Martino for leaving me alone!!! I still love you though babe, I know it wasn't your fault.
It has been raining nonstop since the break started. It looks like it won't start til school starts back up again. Tell me I'm not pissed about that. I can't do anything ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going mad here!!!! New York is right outside and I can't go and enjoy it because its cold and raining!!!! AH!!!!!!!

So I just looked at my journal and released that I hadn't updated in over a month. Wow...
A lot has been going on but I won't get into details.
2nd semester is almost over and then a week off in the city of New York! I'm totally craving a shopping spree wee!!!!! How dumb am I? How weird am I. I've lived here for half a month and New York still takes my breath away. It's absolutely amazing. I can't think of being anywhere else...and it's strange that even though you are miles away the past catches you off guard in your new environment. And who am I speaking of? Mr. Quaid.
I honestly don't know how he found me but he did. I was walking back from school and I had a message and it was him. I had forgotten that Mr. Quaid comes to New York once or twice and year. He called me up and we met for dinner. Since I last saw him at Showstoppers he went grey on me. It was kind of weird. It was odd because we seemed to be on the same level at dinner. We talked about things we had never talked about as student/teacher. I don't know if I know how to explain it but it was like to old friends that hadn't seen each other in years and we were just catching up. He had a different ora on his face. He seemed happy, he had just finished a cruise and he was in New York for four days. He is remaining quite busy with his company and church and yet he seemed lonely. He told me he hadn't heard from any of the singers and he really didn't know what was going on with my class especially Sarah and up until he found me in New York he didn't even know what school I was going to. That night I realized why he stayed at Cy-Fair as long as he did. He loved conversing with our generation and once he retired he felt out of the loop and different. Just like we all were when we no longer had Cy-Fair singers. I asked him why he retarded and he simply replied, "I got tired of getting up at five in the morning and going home at eleven or later at night." Which is totally understandable. I will probably see him again around Christmas.
Talking about the past makes me think of home and my family. Rita has literally wigged me out over the past five days. Just the fear of losing my entire family was numbing and uncomfortable. Hopefully now that Rita has moved it won't be a big deal but you never know with Hurricanes. I hate that I have no control over it. I can only pray they will be ok and they won't get the bad end of the deal. Stupid mom didn't want to leave her company so she made all of my family stay behind. If I were there I would have killed her. She is really the reason I have been emotionally unstable. But then again she always has...
I'm rambling again aren't I? Sorry guys. I hope everyone's family is safe and sound and you all are enjoying college.
